HOW TO PLAN YOUR EVENT

Trying to put together a memorable party or event can be very stressful.  Let us worry about the details, so you can enjoy yourself!  Our goal is to supply you and your guests with a memory you will all talk about for the rest of the year.

Getting Started

After checking the availability for the date of your event, we will set up an initial, no-cost consultation where we can sit down with you and create your perfect gathering.  Whether you know exactly what types of dishes you would like to learn how to prepare or if you want plenty of input, we will work together to find dishes that will appeal to you and your guests.

On the night of your event, our chef and assistants will arrive ahead of time to set up the kitchen.  The cooking and learning process can last around 3 hours, and while you and your guests are enjoying the creations you’ve made, we will clean the kitchen and leave you and your guests to enjoy the rest of your evening.

Is my kitchen big enough?

To determine the number of guests who can participate in the cooking process, keep in mind wherever there is room to place a 12” cutting board and still have some elbow room, this is approximately how many people will fit in your kitchen.  We can also use dinner tables or kitchen islands for more counter space as well.  Most of our parties consist of 6 to 12 participating guests and maybe some others as observers who will just watch and help out with the eating once the food is prepared.

What supplies will I need?

During our consultation, as we find the creations that will work best for your event, we will go over through kitchen with you and bring any other supplies needed.  We like to try and make everything work to the specification of what you already have so you can make these dishes for your family after the event.  We will supply cutting sheets and aprons for all your participating guests, which they can take home with them. We will also give each of them a recipe book containing the meals they create on the night of the event.

What happens on the night of the event?

We suggest that the host arrange to have some simple snacks or appetizers ready when the guests arrive, along with their typical dinner party beverage selection.  We will arrive as your guests have already started showing up and are possibly enjoying a drink and some cheese and crackers or similar finger foods.  It will usually be at least an hour before our first dish is ready to eat and we don’t want your guests starving while we’re cooking.  We have found that some parties go very well by allowing the guests to eat the dishes, as they are prepared.  Kind of a constantly growing buffet, if you will, in more of a party atmosphere.   Others like to serve the food at the end of the evening in more of a sit down dinner fashion.  We can accommodate either preference.  .
